Deeper Dive Into IFS

3-Day In-Person Immersive
Join us at a 3-day in-person immersive course for professionals wanting to gain a deeper familiarity with Internal Family Systems.
This in-person course allows mental health therapists and other helping professionals to explore some of the more profound concepts of the Internal Family Systems therapeutic model and become more familiar and comfortable with some of the basic concepts of IFS through experiential practice.
We provide a comprehensive learning approach, striking a balance between didactic and experiential learning. It is designed to support the development of both intellectual and somatic knowledge and understanding of IFS, ensuring a thorough and effective learning experience.
Please note: this course is for therapists and practitioners who have a basic understanding of IFS and want to deepen their knowledge of more nuanced IFS techniques and concepts.

- Describe legacy & cultural burdens and how IFS works to unburden parts that carry these.
- Explain the concept of polarized parts and how to work with them within the IFS model.
- Describe the concept of Direct Access and when to use it in the IFS process.
- Cite the IFS concept of unattached burdens and steps to take when a UB is encountered in a client’s internal system.
- Identify and describe Self-like parts and how to differentiate them from Self.
- Use techniques to provide a direct experience of Self and parts in the system.

Can I book extra nights at Ghost Ranch?
If you are wanting to come to Ghost Ranch before or after the retreat that’s great, it’s a wonderful place to explore! Beyond the two nights of the retreat you will need to contact the Ghost Ranch front desk at 505.685.4333 to make additional arrangements and meals outside of the retreat.
*Please check with us around the name of the room we have booked you in BEFORE calling the Ghost Ranch Front Desk to book extra nights. Ghost Ranch guarantees the room type (private room or suite) but not a specific room, so while you will receive the same level of accommodation, the exact room may vary.
Can I bring a non-workshop participant to Ghost Ranch, (friend, partner, family)?
If you want to bring a partner, friend, spouse etc. many of the rooms can accommodate that and there is no extra charge. However, there is an extra charge for meals at a flat rate of $165.00 that we will add to your cost of $1650 if a person accompanies you wants additional meals onsite. Please let us know if you will be doing this as we need to let Ghost Ranch know how many will be attending meals and add this additional cost.
Getting to Ghost Ranch:
If you are coming to Ghost Ranch from out of state, you can fly in to either the Albuquerque Airport or the Santa Fe Airport. Albuquerque airport will likely be more economical. We recommend that you rent a car in either Albuquerque or Santa Fe, as that will be the easiest way for you to get to Ghost Ranch. Both the Santa Fe and Albuquerque airports have rental car access. Ghost Ranch is an hour and a half by car from Santa Fe, NM and two hours and a half from the Albuquerque, NM Sunport Airport.
Ghost Ranch is located on Highway 84. The address is: 280 Private Drive 1708, Abiquiu, NM, 87510-2001. This address or “Ghost Ranch, NM” can be put into Google Maps.
Cancelation policy
Cancellations can be made up to 60 days in advance and will be refunded, minus $400 deposit. Any cancellations less than 60 days before start of the program will forfeit full amount.
